Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is working on Indian edition project and is expected to launch the model in India in 2014, a company official said on Wednesday.
Rolls Royce is a bespoke British car maker operating in the ultra-luxury segment. Now owned by the BMW group, Rolls Royce continues to operate from its Goodwood facility in England. The car maker has been steadily spreading its wings in the Indian car market, where it is said to have sold about 250 cars since its official entry into the country in 2005.
Back in 2012, Rolls Royce sold a total of 3,575 units. In order to increase sales even further, the company plans to add new niche models to its lineup.
The Rolls-Royce has introduced its new model –the Rolls-Royce Wraith, which is the car of the 2014 model year. It is the most powerful model what had ever been.
The Wraith borrowed some details and technical characteristics from the Ghost model. The novelty has a 6.6-liter V12 twin-turbo engine, which produces the power of 624 horsepower with the torque of 590 lb-ft.
The company has not yet released any details or images of the new car, but the model is thought to be a convertible version of the Wraith coupé
Rolls Royce is all set to expand their model range by announcing a "stunning" new model in a couple of weeks followed by an auto-show debut on April 21st in Shangai, one of most important markets for RR.
