It is a record sales for any luxury car seller in a year and Audi India is really proud of its achievement.
TDI really is the bread and butter technology for Audi, as much as quattro if not more. In the past couple of years, they've also seen increased demand from US customers which prompted them to basically double their clean diesel lineup for the 2014 model year.
At the beginning of the year, Audi had set a goal of 10,000 car sales in India and it has achieved this target just in the nick of time. In December alone, Audi was able to sell over 1300 units.

The diesels are coming. Suffice it to say, we're pleased.

Audi models often come in mild, hot and extra-spicy flavors, and the 2014 Audi RS5 is the maximum-hot version of the company’s competent A5 and higher-performance S5 coupe and convertible lines.Getting to 62 mph takes a shave under 3.9 seconds thanks in part to the 553 pound-feet of torque on hand from just 1,750 rpm. Audi has finally made a change that enthusiasts have been clamouring for in the R8, and it is one of the biggest reasons that the car is not more popular in that segment. They have finally ditched the terrible R tronic transmission and replaced it with a dual clutch version they dub S tronic.
The Audi A6 and also the hot spin-off S6 are handsome, sporty sedans, along together using sleekly contoured sheetmetal and tightly drawn details. For years, we have place Audi style on any pedestal, notably the A6, solely to possess it knocked off 2 years ago from the mechanically similar, a lot of less predictable A7 hatchback.
The 2013 Audi A8 has a couple great new engines, but is it good enough to woo BMW, Benz, and Lexus loyalists? Find out in our review.
That car is definitely from the few to earn a good 10 from our editors for styling ; the A6’s a lot of typical lines earn it a a lot of typical score. The A6’s details still win, however truth be told, we’re not the most important fans of Audi’s biggest grilles ever.
Although there is still some time before Audi brings out the all-new generation model of the TT (late 2014, in fact), prototypes of this upcoming car are out in the wild and have been caught on camera.
The higher news is the fact that the cockpit from the A6 and S6 are clones of these inside the A7 and S7, and that is a relief : the rich materials are arranged perfectly in coordination along together using one another, and also the plethora of cutlines never appear to fall into the method of a very good time.
There was a time when the S4 was the most exciting Audi offered in the United States. What a difference 10 years can make. The S4 is now joined by the S5 , RS5 , S6 and R8 sports models with more appearing on the horizon every year. In the face of the new lineup, the S4 looks pretty tame by comparison.
Accessible muscle, however, is only part of the equation. Improved consumption and emissions are also big benefits. Audi claims 30 percent better fuel economy over an equivalent gasoline engines and 30 percent less carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. In terms of miles per gallon, Audi claims the A8 TDI can achieve 24 in the city and 36 on the highway, which is pretty impressive for a large luxury sedan. These figures are also helped by Audi's extensive use of aluminum where other carmakers use steel. Less weight will always mean less fuel being used.
Audi joins the BMW 3-Series Diesel, Lexus IS 250, and Mercedes E Class, on this year’s list of the luxury cars with the best value.

Audi recently invited CH out to Southampton, NY on Long Island to take their new R8 V10 Spyder for a spin around the block. We accepted, as we rarely refuse to test the proficiency of local law enforcement and, with a top speed of around 197 mph, this car seemed an appropriate fit. We've been fans of the R8 design since its debut in 2008 as the rare, fast and distinctive flagship from the sporting side of the German brand. The R8 takes its name from an Audi racing prototype that had a serious hot streak at Le Mans and in its current iteration is Audi's fastest road car.
Audi treated us with a handful of new performance offerings at this week’s 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

Essentially an S4 on stilts, the new SQ5, which will join Audi’s lineup later this year as a 2014 model, comes with the familiar supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 that has already made its way into the S4 and S5.
Audi A6 – the 2014 Audi A6 is not an obvious selection, even for all those who desire and would like a mid-size sedan, even in its own lineup. How could which be? The A6 squares off against a number of the very best passenger cars inside the world–the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, along together using Cadillac’s new CTS clearly inside the hunt. Make it to an Audi showroom, and also the A7 hatchback is thus beautiful, it’ll simply sway any four-door shopper into its corner. Finally there is the A4, nearly as roomy and a lot more reasonable. Against those odds, the benignly handsome A6 has to fight for attention within the method it’s rarely had to before.
Audi showcased the A3 sedan, which will be launched sometime soon to compete with upcoming Mercedes CLA Sedan and the existing Mercedes A class and BMW 1 Series hatchbacks. The second generation of the 2014 Audi Q7 in sales will start early in 2014. year, with the official premiere will probably be in September this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show Auto Exchange. Going back to the year 2005 will recall that at the time represented by the first-generation Audi Q7 and the same at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Current Audi Q7 with its 8 years real old car were in the car market. In his time Audi Q7 considered very modern car, and the first of the models equipped with Audi’s composition to detect objects in the blind spot. However, the German manufacturer of technology has since made significant progress including his powerful SUVs.
Audi waltzes into this bout with an overflowing trophy case. The A7 already knocked out the CLS550 and the 640i Gran Coupe in separate matchups. In our last Audi-BMW-Benz comparo [July 2012], the S6 shrugged off a roughly 100-hp deficit to topple the E63 AMG and the M5. This time around, Audi’s entry is fighting in its weight class. The RS7 comes from Quattro GmbH, Audi’s answer to the M and AMG organizations. As in the S6 and S7, its power comes from 4.0 liters of twin-turbocharged V-8, but the R in RS7 means 140 more horsepower and 110 more pound-feet of torque matched with a sophisticated suspension and, in the case of our test car, optional carbon-ceramic brakes. And as the only hatchback in this set, the RS7 boasts cargo space the others can’t match.
